当工房は鹿児島市の北部の静かな田舎町「宮之浦町（旧吉田町）」にあり、小さな町工場で大島紬を中心とする絹織物の製造に加えて製品の企画や販売も行っています。
本場大島紬は日本を代表する鹿児島の伝統工芸品であり、その伝統技術を大事にしながらも新しい技術やアイディアを取り入れ、個性的なもの造りが出来る工房でありたいと考えています。

Our factory is in northern quiet county town "Miyanoura-town" (former Yoshida-town) of Kagoshima-city.We perform a plan and the sale of the
product in addition to the production of silk textile mainly on the Ohshima pongee in a small factory in town.
Ohshima pongee is a folkcraft of Kagoshima on behalf of Japan.We adopt a new technique and idea while regarding the tradition technique as
important and want to be the individual factory which can produce it.
